SVL Shower Ministry

We believe that connecting with a life-giving community while experiencing the dignity of taking a shower is a key element in encountering the love of Christ to those living without permanent shelter. The right to hygiene is a daily challenge for our neighbors experiencing homelessness. This right is directly related to our personal property and relationships within our local community, or as is often the case, the lack thereof. Please join us on our mission to empower our neighbors in taking steps towards greater sustainability.

The Shower Ministry will operate on the first and third Saturday of every month alongside our Food Pantry distribution, enabling our neighbors to make connections to not only resources, but friends and friendly faces as well!

To join the Summerville Campus Shower Ministry you must attend a training session and complete a SLED background check. To request your background check please email summerzimmerman@seacoast.org and the link will be sent to you directly.
